Nissan e.dams competed on a sun-drenched virtual Monaco street circuit today for the third round of the ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge, raising funds for the global UNICEF appeal.

The new online racing series represents Formula E, the pinnacle of real-world Zero Emission racing, as the height of Zero Emission competition in the virtual world. This aligns with Nissan’s goal of Zero Emissions and Zero Fatalities – an important pillar of Nissan Intelligent Mobility – the brand’s vision for changing how cars are driven, powered and integrated into society.

Buemi was knocked out in the Race Royal format in P16.

In the Challenge Grid event, sim drivers Niek Jacobs and Jan von Der Heyde returned for the team, qualifying in P7 and P14. In the race, the Nissan pairing finished in P8 and P11, respectively.

DRIVERS QUOTES

SEBASTIEN BUEMI

“P16 in Monaco today. I had some contact early on that damaged the car and made it a little difficult to manage. I’m improving with each round and looking forward already to round four.”

OLIVER ROWLAND

“Not too bad today. I was a bit unfortunate at the start to sustain quite a lot of damage in the incident at turn 2, which slowed me down. It’s for a great cause and we’ll race hard next week.”
